About us

At Hound Havn, we believe that owning a dog is much more than simply having a pet — it’s a lifestyle!

Today, through Hound Havn, my mission is to support dog owners with rigor, compassion, and honesty. Without one-size-fits-all solutions or unrealistic promises, I help you better understand your dog, meet their needs, and build a harmonious, lasting relationship based on trust, respect, and collaboration.
The team

Catherine Laramée
Founder & CEO
Active in canicross and bikejoring, and competing in several canine disciplines, I am deeply committed to meeting dogs’ physical, mental, and emotional needs. Every dog is a unique individual, and every human-dog team deserves guidance that is tailored, respectful, and based on modern, ethical, science-backed methods.
As a former certified veterinary technician, I have developed over the years a particular expertise in nutrition, dental care, and canine behavior. My training has given me a rigorous, scientific, and practical understanding of animal well-being — a perspective that guides every intervention I make today.
To deepen my knowledge of behavior and learning, I have pursued numerous specialized trainings in canine behavior, including with the International Alliance of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), as well as courses in puppy kindergarten and basic obedience. My journey also includes training in competitive obedience, rally obedience, and scent detection, allowing me to support both everyday companion dogs and those engaged in more technical or sporting activities.
